Ranked as one of the finest sword makers of the twentieth century (2.5 Million Yen), Shigetsugu was a master swordsmith for the Nihonto Tanren Denshusho.  He is known for EXCEPTIONAL HORIMONO and beautiful bizen style blades with choji and gunome choji hamons.  Here is your chance to own a WORLD CLASS blade, FLAWLESS and in beautiful polish with some of the most sumptuous horimono you will ever find.  One side of the blade features a Hatahoko carving (a flag wrapped around a halberd) and the other side has a fantastic deep relief carving in superb detail of Fudo Myoo, the Buddhist God surrounded by flames.
The sword is in top quality shirasaya
Blade length is 27 1/4 inches.
Signature reads: "Kasama Shigetsugu Hori do saku oite Toyama Mitsuri O te nai". 
Translation: "Kasama Shigetsugu made this and did the horimono at the estate of Toyama Mitsuri".
