This blade is 25 1/4 inches long, in beautiful TOP QUALITY full polish and is accompanied by NBTHK Tokubetsu Kicho papers (green papers) attesting to the authenticity of the signature and the great workmanship of the blade. Tokubetsu Kicho papers were one step below Juyo. This Kinmichi worked circa 1673 in Yamashiro province and is rated chujosaku and wazamono. He is said to be the younger brother of Kinshiro Hasamichi. This blade is masterfully done in the style of an old slender tachi. The hada is a tight itame and the hamon is a nicely controled choji/midare. The blade is housed in a top quality shirasaya with an attractive sayagaki. More pictures are available and all questions are welcome.
